What Did You Miss?
There are a bunch of things you missed by not opening my last email.

Was it Thanksgiving? Was it Black Friday? Was it Cyber Monday?

Maybe you missed your chance to do the Christmas shopping early. 

I tell you what you missed. You missed the chance to read about the end of my Great Cycle Challenge for Kids Cancer. In the picture below you will see what happens to a speeding bicycle when a car door opens in front of the cyclist.
That was the end of cycling for me during October. I was off the bike for 2 weeks and am now a lot more circumspect about parked cars. The good news is the damage to the left shoulder has forced me to work the shoulder I broke in March - it is a whole lot happier.

What else did you miss?  You missed the update about Levi. Levi was determined to ride some of the challenge even though his doc said "NOOOOOO".  He did 30 minutes on the training bike because he was so impressed that we all rode over 2 million kms and raised over $2.5 million. You missed the update about young Tim who lost his battle with cancer. Our thoughts go out to his family. 

As it happens the lovely people at Great Cycle Challenge have kept open ride logging for the challenge - I am now a whole lot closer to the 1,000 kms I had committed to ride. I had ridden 755 kms during October until the time of the accident.  

What you did not miss is the chance to make a difference and to give thanks. Donations can be made until the end of the year

I appreciate the time you have taken to read this email. I am grateful for the support you have all committed - my fund raising has placed me 7th in New South Wales and is close to $5,000 - I would love to clear that level.
