If you spend more than an hour on X (or any other platform) a day, you'll get the impression that everyone is winning.

X person made clients Y results, Z person just hit a new most profitable month.

It's overwhelming to say the least.

But here's the thing about social media...

It's all a highlight reel.

Very few people are willing to be transparent.

And the more time you spend on social media, the more you'll doubt yourself.

"I'm putting in the work, why am I not getting the same results?"

This is a question I asked myself for years.

Until I started speaking to these people myself.

I quickly realised they were going through the exact same struggles.

They were being rejected by prospects.

They were struggling to create a unique offer.

They were experiencing daily losses.

But if you looked at their social media profiles, they were killing it.

A great example of this is a guy I worked with on X.

He has a huge following (over 44k) and offers lead gen.

According to his posts, he's absolutely smashing it when it comes to work.

However, my experience with him couldn't have been worse.

After an initial call he gave himself 5 days to deliver the work.

On day 5 he said he's been unwell.

I gave him another week and...

Nothing.

This time, he said he was "Busy" and couldn't get it done.

Another week went by, and he still hadn't delivered the work.

In the end, I had to fire him and get a refund because he was useless.

And still, he continues to post about "results" and "loving work."

The reality is most people only post their wins.

Very few will be transparent about the process.

So next time you catch yourself comparing your results with those on social media ask yourself:

"Is this person just posting their highlights or are they being fully transparent?"

Chances are you're looking at a highlight reel.
