Everyone knows that upsells are a great way to improve sales.

But this new format is a complete game changer...

Traditionally, you buy a product and you'll receive an email a few hours later telling you what it goes well with.

But when I was buying supplements last week, I had a whole new experience.

After making my purchase I was immediately taken to an upsell screen.

On this screen I could buy even more of the same supplement for 20% off.

Without thinking, I immediately made the purchase.

Sounds simple, right?

And that's because it is.

When a customer buys a product they immediately get a dopamine hit.

Instead of waiting for this to disappear, the brand took advantage with a discount.

This created even more dopamine and made the upsell a no-brainer.

Even though I'd spend even more money I felt like I'd saved a lot.

I'm not sure what kind of numbers the company is bringing in with this method, but I can guess it's pretty high.

I'm going to test it out with one of my clients over the next month and I'm expecting big things.

This could genuinely replace the traditional post-purchase upsell altogether.
