On Tuesday, May 21st, the Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information (CoE-PHI) hosted a national webinar, 42 CFR Part 2 Final Rule: What You Need to Know.


During this webinar, we outlined recent changes to Part 2, the federal law that protects the confidentiality of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment records, and applied learning to common scenarios through interactive case studies. Considerations for next steps regarding implementation of recent changes to the law were also discussed.

  • Apply recent changes to practical scenarios within case studies

  • Identify how to access resources and technical assistance provided by the CoE-PHI
