| What is the workshop about?
Confidentialty & MAT This workshop will provide an overview of the applicability of 42 FR Part 2 in different medication-assisted treatment (MAT) settings, including emergency departments and primary care practices. It will review the general requirements of Part 2 and explain issues such as how MAT providers may interact with prescription drug monitoring programs and how may they communicate with patients’ families after an overdose. It will also introduce Focus: PHI.

Funded by SAMHSA, Focus: PHI develops and disseminates resources, training, and TA for states, healthcare providers, school administrators and individuals and families to improve understanding and application of federal privacy laws and regulations, including FERPA, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2, when providing and receiving treatment for SUD and mental illness. The CoE-PHI is a partnership between Cicatelli Associates Inc. (CAI) and the Legal Action Center (LAC). |
