USA Basketball is the national governing body for youth basketball in the United States. NSID is proud to be the official age/grade verification service for USA Basketball and the U.S. Open Basketball Championships . NSID first worked with USA basketball for the 2018 U.S. Open and we are excited to see what bigger and better things the 2019 event will bring. This years championship will take place in Westfield, Indiana on July 17-21. Divisions of competition made up of the top teams in the country will include 10th grade, 9th grade, 13u and 12u for both boys and girls. NSID is honored to work with such prestigious events such as this and we look forward to continuing to provide top level service for this event and others like it.

Hot Topic: Why Tournaments Need Age Verification |

Since National Sports ID announced that it would be providing age/grade verification for athletes competing in various sporting events, a lot of league/tournaments organizers have decided to use our platform as a means to ensure that athletes participating in any competition are indeed eligible. National Sports ID developed a proprietary age/grade verification system which collects and verifies birth certificates, state ID’s, passports and report cards of athletes in order to establish their proper age and grade. This process further protects the integrity of tournaments and leagues because it addresses the issue of age tampering and promotes fair play.
