Regarded as one of the bright young defensive minds in Illinois, Hjorth was named the 4th head coach of Stevenson in 2016. Previous to this, Hjorth served as the defensive coordinator for the Patriots from 2010-2016. With his staff, he developed a continually top 10 ranked defense, culminating in a 2014 8A IHSA state championship, and top ranked defense. Hjorth‘s primary defense is a 3-5 cover 3.

Coach Troy McAllister took over the program at Phillips Academy High School in 2010. At the first practice, only 12 players attended. In his eight years leading the Wildcats his overall record is 73-22. In 2014, Phillips Academy High School became only the second Chicago Public School to ever reach an Illinois High School Football State Championship game. In 2015, Phillips became the first Chicago Public School to ever win an Illinois High School Football State Championship. This past season the Wildcats won their second state championship in three years by completing an undefeated 14-0 season.McAllister now coaches one of the best teams in the state of Illinois.
