| • Springing Forward with Community • April 2017 |
| | Dear City Youth Now Community,
As we spring forward into a new season, City Youth Now is embracing the same growth and renewal in our organization. Over the last year we have added 3 new staff members, including a permanent Executive Director. We have added several new board members, and said goodbye to old friends. As we continue to center our focus on empowering youth that rise out of some of the most challenging circumstances in our region, we seek to build more dynamic programs through increasing not only our staff resources, but most importantly expanding our partnership and collaboration with the communities where most of the youth we have the honor serve are from. It is through these partnerships that we can plant new seeds of opportunity that will allow our organization and our youth to bloom. We continue to need the support of the entire San Francisco community to be successful. This includes our ongoing partnerships with the Juvenile Justice Center, and other agencies serving foster youth, and youth in the juvenile justice center, but also collaborations with other non-profits, foundations, and external partners that provide jobs, tutoring, yoga, presentations, clothing, medical costs, recreational activities, and many other opportunities that might not already be available to these youth.
As winter comes to a close and we move forward together, we want to reflect on the many accomplishments City Youth Now and our youth have experienced over the past few months. These milestones could not have been reached without the support of our network, and it is through the continued unity of our community that we can continue to accomplish great things for our youth.
