| A NOTE FROM OUR BOARD PRESIDENT |
| Dear Friends,
As 2020 comes to conclusion, the CYN staff and Board of Directors are reflecting on the many challenges faced by the population we serve. Youth and families in San Francisco have been impacted by the pandemic, the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd, and the ups and downs of distance learning in addition to the challenges of day to day life. Throughout all of this, they have remained resilient and continued to push through each day with positivity and hope.
Despite the many ways we have all been affected by this pandemic, the CYN community has remained committed to our mission. Because of your support, we have provided critical need support to over 300 youth and families, including grocery vouchers, cleaning supplies, and rental support.
With Thanksgiving on the horizon we would like to share our gratitude for our community and the unwavering support that has allowed us to help youth in need. We are thankful for you and wish you and your family a very joyous holiday season.
Kind Regards Charles Higgins President of the Board of Directors City Youth Now charleshiggins@cityyouthnow.org

| | | At City Youth Now, our programs and services are youth informed. This year, many youth expressed interests in learning more about Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In September, we hosted an Virtual HBCU panel, including alumni from several HBCUs. Youth left the panel with first-hand knowledge from alumni and one lucky winner left with a brand new laptop!

| Higher Education Virtual Series |
| Through our YPEE program, our goal is to provide our youth with educational opportunities. Last month, we hosted a higher education series workshop- youth were able to learn about Financial Aid, Community College, the Cal State University System, Universities of California, and hear from a college panel. We hope this series showed our youth that no barriers should prevent them from wanting to pursue higher education. |

| Virtual Family Paint Night |
| As a way to de-stress and spend time together safely, the youth housed inside of juvenile hall were also able to join us for our Virtual Family Paint Night. They were provided with the necessary supplies as well as some snacks to enjoy. We are so glad they were able to participate! |
