THE EXTRA GIRL, Friday, April 7, 8 pm!

Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of this film, THE EXTRA GIRL will be presented with live musical score by Common Railers and an introduction by Lisa Patti.

Silent film star Mabel Normand plays a small-town girl with big Hollywood dreams in this classic silent film comedy. Screened with live accompaniment by Ithaca faves, Common Railers.

The second feature-length film by award-winning director Chan Tze Woon mixes documentary, fiction, and visions of the future as it links past and present activists fighting for democracy in Hong Kong.

GHOSTS AND OTHER SHORTS, Saturday, April 8, 1:30 pm, FREE!

The story of three Kiowa boys' daring escape from a government boarding school in Anadarko, Oklahoma in 1891, to attend a ghost dance ceremony at a distant Kiowa encampment. An oral history of tribal alliance, resistance, and survival from the degradation of forced assimilation. This film is English/Kiowa, presented with subtitles.

Screening and talkback with filmmaker Jeffrey Palmer, moderated by Patricia Zimmermann.

WILD LENS SHORTS, Saturday, April 8, 11 am, FREE!

A series of eye-opening shorts about animals and nature from non-profit Wild Lens Collective, a group of artists whose work focuses on the intersection of creative storytelling and environmental conservation.

Filmmaker Matt Podolsky will be joined by Brett Bossard for a talkback following the films.
