A smidge of bad news with a whole lot of good news:- Finding Vivian Maier will now open on Friday, May 2nd at Cinemapolis (it was originally scheduled for April 25)
- That film got bumped because you all loved The Lunchbox so much! It's sticking around for ONE MORE WEEK!
- Jude Law finally swaggers onto our screens this weekend for a limited engagement of the much heralded Dom Hemingway.
- In The Railway Man, Rex Reed says Colin Firth "gives his best, richest and most carefully calibrated performance since The King’s Speech." The gripping historical drama opens on Friday.
- The Ithaca Fringe Fest will be here Thursday - Sunday with a special LIVE production of Hand Grenades in Theater 2.
Also coming this week, the first of two more NY Film Critic Series advance screenings. We've partnered with NYFCS to present, live, interactive, pre-release movies and big screen HD simulcast with the stars and filmmakers.
The Next Event is on Tuesday, April 29th at 7:30 and features “Locke” with simulcast appearances by Tom Hardy (Inception, Dark Knight Rises, Bronson) and Director/Screenwriter Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things, Eastern Promises). Tickets now on sale!
