First off, thanks to the more than 1,600 of you that came out for the record-setting opening of The Grand Budapest Hotel. Wes Anderson's fast-paced, super-stylized War Era joyride is already bringing people back for second viewings. Did YOU catch all the details?
This weekend brings more visits to the Republic of Zubrowka as well as a decidedly darker turn as the latest from Lars von Trier bows at Cinemapolis. Nymphomaniac, Volume 1 is the first part of von Trier's magnum opus recounting the sexual lives led by Joe, the self-described addict referenced by the film's title. This very adult film will be followed up by Volume 2 on April 18. Be sure to catch both parts for a glimpse at von Trier's complete vision (the "director's cut" of the film clocks in at five and a half hours). |
