| | Greetings, Cinemapolitans! |
| The big night is almost here—do you have your tickets for our Annual "And the Winner Is..." Awards Night Party? Don't forget to get them in advance. Prices for our big annual fundraiser go up on the night of the show! |
| While we await the news of which of our current films are taking home some gold, we'll be adding ONE more title to the screens on Friday:
- Nostalgia is the latest from writer/director Mark Pellington (The Last Word). This drama of intertwining stories features a stellar ensemble cast that includes Bruce Dern, Jon Hamm, and Catherine Keener. Common Sense Media says, "This dreamy, languid drama drifts appealingly from character to character, somehow finding profound emotional weight and layers in the relationships between people and their belongings."
And before we get to the big awards weekend, be sure to get to the theater TONIGHT for a special one-night only event: |
| ONE DAY - TWO SCREENINGS
On November 29, 2002, one year after the passing of George Harrison, Olivia Harrison and longtime friend Eric Clapton organized a performance tribute in his honor. Held at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the momentous evening featured George’s songs, and music he loved, performed by a lineup that included Clapton, Joe Brown, Dhani Harrison, Jools Holland, Jeff Lynne, Paul McCartney, Monty Python, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Ravi and Anoushka Shankar, Ringo Starr and many more.
Last weekend marked what would have been George Harrison’s 75th birthday. To celebrate CONCERT FOR GEORGE is coming to theaters nationwide. This special theatrical cut includes the concert performance, plus interviews with the featured musicians, rehearsals and behind the scenes footage.
ONLY TWO SCREENINGS |
| You might also want to make plans to catch Happy End and Phantom Thread soon. They both have their last screenings on THIS Thursday, March 1st! |
