| | Greetings, Cinemapolitans! |
| We start December with a new documentary and a special limited engagement arriving on Friday:
- The life of a renowned soprano is recounted in her own words in the award-winning new documentary, Maria by Callas. Director Tom Volf utilizes archival interviews, performances, and Callas' own writings to reveal a full portrait of both the artist and the woman behind the voice. Ben Kenigsberg of the NY Times gives it the Critic's Pick seal of approval, calling it "a documentary that revitalizes history through primary sources, to illuminating, at times enthralling effect."
- In theaters for just two days, Swimming with Men features Rob Brydon (Trip to Italy) as an accountant whose mid-life crisis leads him to join an all-male amateur synchronized swimming team. Roger Moore of Movie Nation calls it "'The Full Monty' with fins."
It screens Friday and Saturday only!
In addition to those new titles, there are some special one-time only screenings on the way as well, including one TONIGHT: |
