Greetings, Cinemapolitans!
A full slate of films approaches with the addition of two new movies this Friday:
- Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air) captures our contemporary information overload through a series fumbling relationships among Men, Woman & Children. With a stellar cast that includes Rosemarie DeWitt, Emma Thompson, and Judy Greer, it's a multi-layered drama that Richard Roeper calls "a time capsule of a film that understands how much technology dominates the lives of teenagers, as well as the parents trying their best to keep up with the times."
- Accomplished documentarian Rory Kennedy eschews the family history she plumbed in Ethel for an incisive look at American heroism in Last Days in Vietnam. In the words of the LA Times' Kenneth Turran: "These stranger-than-fiction tales, piled one on top of the other in the most gripping way, not only mesmerize us, they also point up another of Last Days in Vietnam's provocative points, that the chaos surrounding the evacuation was, in effect, the entire war in microcosm." See this gripping untold story while you can - this is a LIMITED ENGAGEMENT.
