| | Greetings Cinemapolitans!
The clock is counting down toward Oscar night, but if you haven't yet seen all of the nominated films in our current slate, there's still time. We're also adding one new film to the mix this Friday: - Writer-director Jim Jarmusch (Only Lovers Left Alive, Gimme Danger) returns to our screens with Paterson, a simple and contemplative character study of a poet and bus driver (Adam Driver) as he makes his way through life in Paterson, New Jersey. According to Eric Kohn of IndieWire, Jarmusch is in fine form, "capturing the serenity of daily existence and what it means to find deeper meaning in passing moments."
On top of six great films, we also have some special screenings thrown in for good measure coming up in the next week:

The community is invited to a celebration showcasing Vitamin L’s new video of its iconic song “Walk a Mile.”
In addition to debuting the new music video, the celebration will feature reflections by prominent local residents on examples of empathy in their lives, a video montage of groups from far and wide performing “Walk a Mile,” and a short concert by the Vitamin L singers.

| Sunday, February 12 at 2 pm General Admission - $7
Join the Paleontological Research Institution (PRI) for a screening of the 1960 film Inherit the Wind, a fictionalized account of the 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial.
PRI Director Warren Allmon will give a short introduction to the film and the trial’s significance to the teaching of evolution.
