Subject:Â đŸŽ„ Cinemapolis - The Big Screen is BACK 6/25! đŸŽ„

Greetings, Cinemapolitans,

After 15 months away, the BIG screen is BACK! We're excited resume public movie screenings this Friday, June 25, and we need your help to make it happen!

In addition to purchasing advance tickets to the great line up of films below, we hope you can also participate to this year's Giving is Gorges day by making a contribution to our campaign. In addition to all the CinemaSafe protocols you can read about below, we're also relocating our box office and adjusting traffic patterns to make waiting in line for movies safer and easier.

To accomplish that task, we're working with master local craftsman Rick Lazarus to build a gorgeous new ticket sales counter made entirely from locally reclaimed materials, including "tornado cherry" downed in a storm, slate blackboards from Cornell's Baker Hall, and a symbol of our 35 mm past—a 24 inch aluminum film reel used in the original Cinemapolis 35 years ago.

Your gift to this year's Giving is Gorges campaign will help make Rick's amazing vision a reality.

Please share our Giving is Gorges page with friends and family online, and join us this weekend for some great movies the way they were meant to be seen - on the big screen!

OPENING FRIDAY, JUNE 25

RITA MORENO: JUST A GIRL WHO DECIDED TO GO FOR IT illuminates the humor and the grace of Moreno, as well as lesser-known struggles faced on her path to stardom, including pernicious Hollywood sexism and abuse, a toxic relationship with Marlon Brando, and serious depression a year before she emerged an Oscar winner. Moreno’s talent and resilience triumphed over adversity, as she broke barriers, fought for representation and forged the path for new generations of artists.
