Subject:Â đŸŽ„ Cinemapolis - A spot of Irish nostalgia, a locally produced doc and MORE on the way this Friday, 11/12! đŸŽ„

Greetings, Cinemapolitans,

Another exciting weekend is on the way, and we have a handful of VERY special events coming. Another locally produced film joins our slate with TWO special Q &A screenings (more and that below), and we're excited to be part of the ONE NIGHT ONLY national screening event of Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road on Wednesday, November 17 at 7 pm.

LONG PROMISED ROAD is an entirely different kind of documentary: driving around LA with his best friend, Wilson revisits the places that were formative in his legendary career, while archival footage and Wilson’s own words fill in the backstory. Featuring Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Linda Perry, and more, this is the definitive telling of one of pop music’s most influential figures, and a must for any fan.

We have THREE new additions to our in theater slate this weekend, so you'll want to get in before then to catch Beans, Lamb, Mass, and The Spine of Night. They have their final screenings on Thursday, November 11th!

In the aftermath of her tumultuous relationship with a charismatic and manipulative older man, Julie begins to untangle her fraught love for him in making her graduation film, sorting fact from his elaborately constructed fiction. Joanna Hogg’s shimmering story of first love and a young woman’s formative years, The Souvenir Part II is a portrait of the artist that transcends the halting particulars of everyday life — a singular, alchemic mix of memoir and fantasy.

CONTINUING IN THEATER

Construction continues around the cinema. While the decks of parking above us are being built, the Green Street Crosswalk near our entrance will be closed. Please do not attempt to access the theater from that section on Green Street.

Home Dairy Alley will be re-opened during this phase of the project. We are recommending that ALL PATRONS either enter from the Commons Side of the building or cross Green Street at Cayuga Street and follow the scaffolding detour near City Hall toward Home Dairy Alley.

Hope to see you at the movies again soon!

Executive Director
