Greetings, Cinemapolitans,

Another exciting weekend is on the way as we head toward Thanksgiving. But before we get there, our friends from Ithaca Fantastik are bringing an incredible restoration of a cult favorite on Thursday, November 18 at 8 pm.

ARREBATO’s dimension-shattering blend of heroin, sex, and Super-8 is the final word on cinemania. This towering feat of counterculture was the final feature of cult filmmaker and movie poster designer Iván Zulueta – is a film without genre, and is Pedro Almodóvar’s favorite horror film! If you can't catch it on Thursday night, we'll have an encore matinee on Sunday, November 21 art 5 pm!

We have TWO new additions to our in theater slate for limited pre-holiday engagements that start this weekend, so you'll want to get in before then to catch Echoes of the Empire. It has its final screening on Thursday, November 18th!

OPENING FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19

Sundance triple award winner Hive is a searing drama based on the true story of Fahrije, who, like many of the other women in her patriarchal village, has lived with fading hope and burgeoning grief since her husband went missing during the war in Kosovo. In order to provide for her struggling family, she pulls the other widows in her community together to launch a business selling a local food product.

Winner of the Audience Award, Directing Award, and World Cinema Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, HIVE is a pithy, devastating portrait of loss and our uphill journeys to freedom.

Construction continues around the cinema. While the decks of parking above us are being built, the Green Street Crosswalk near our entrance will be closed. Please do not attempt to access the theater from that section on Green Street.

Home Dairy Alley will be re-opened during this phase of the project. We are recommending that ALL PATRONS either enter from the Commons Side of the building or cross Green Street at Cayuga Street and follow the scaffolding detour near City Hall toward Home Dairy Alley.

Hope to see you at the movies again soon!
