Like I say, to me my journey to finally losing 13.5 stone has been filled with so many difficulties and challenges. I’ve literally tried every diet going. I’ve lost weight, only to then put all the weight back on. I’ve done well but then due to something as simple as not seeing a big enough loss on the scales, have thrown everything away and put the weight back on. I’ve struggled with binging, emotional eating, needless picking & snacking, destructive self-sabotage and crazy cravings…to name a few. I really thought I was going to be the 'fat, ugly bird' I saw myself as, forever. 

My struggles are no different to anybody else's. Every week I speak to my members over the phone and discover word for word, thought for thought, struggle for struggle, we’re the same. The only difference is, I’ve been lucky enough to stumble across the map for the maze and made my way out! 

I discovered how diets were actually the very thing that fostered the terrible relationship with food that I had. I discovered that common sense and an innate wisdom existed within me that I just needed to listen to to unlock the issues I had with food. I discovered that my subconscious mind was actually driving many of my automatic behaviours and making me reach for food for comfort when in fact food was the traitor and the last thing I needed. But I also discovered that these faulty connections that diets had created in my subconscious, could be undone and rewired properly by hypnosis. It was a revelation. And truth be told, it started to make weight loss very easy.

But then, despite discovering hypnosis to be THE most effective way to reprogramme my mind to enable me to lose weight, I still came about occasional difficulties. After all, I knew hypnosis wasn’t a magic wand and knew that my 'faulty' habits had been created over many years and so might take a bit of time to undo. But these challenges I was experiencing were ones that would have previously sent me backwards, destroying any progress I’d made. I needed to find a way to handle them and get through them. I knew hypnosis was the key but if I didn’t find a way to support that with other techniques for managing the daily difficulties and temptations I felt, then it would all be for waste. And so thats what I did.

I really delved deep into the psychology of what I was feeling and experiencing. I researched NLP and read books by learned (although not necessarily overweight) people. I studied people who had achieved great success and learned lessons from those who hadn’t. And as I started to do that, I realised I was coming up with a set of really effective techniques that I could turn to during my journey whenever I was coming across a problem. I suddenly understood WHY I was doing crazy stuff around food (like crying whilst eating because I knew I didn’t want it and yet I was still eating it!) and when I understood the why, I could start to develop the HOW with ways to stop it. And that’s how this became the time I lost weight FOR GOOD!

And that’s why I refer to this journey as like having been in a maze. I’ve tried every path, fallen head first into every dead end. But instead of giving up, I persevered, I found shortcuts, I found easy ways and routes out. I’ve essentially created the map to the maze and want to share it with everyone so they can also find their way out. And that’s what The Platinum Toolkit is.
