In manufacturing,"Seconds", are a universal shorthand for items that have minor cosmetic imperfections. These are often sold at a discount with other "Open Box" items.


Our Seconds are usually sorted into three tiers:

  1. Demo - No blemishes on the front, minimal blemishes on the back - 40% OFF

  2. Good - No blemishes on the front, noticeable blemishes on the back - 50% OFF

  3. Fair - Minimal blemishes on the front - 60% OFF

This week, our new Second is a Triptych Plaque featuring the Adoration of the Magi by Gentile da Frabriano! Commissioned in 1420 by the Italian banker and patron of the arts Palla Strozzi, the painting was displayed in the chapel of the church of Santa Trinita. Today it is housed in the Uffizi Galley in Florence, Italy.
