In the Annunciation, which falls in the middle of Lent this year, we celebrate God becoming a man through the consent of Our Mother, Mary.
"He was made man that we might be made God" -St. Athanasius (4th century) |
During Lent, we imitate Christ as He fasted in the desert.
We labor against our vices, that we might become more like God.
We ask for, and hope in His help that we might be successful.
We seek also to imitate Mary, that we may be able to say, as she did "be it done to me according to thy word" (Luke 1:38)

But in the midst of our daily lives it can be easy to forget.
Keeping an image of the Annunciation in our home will help to remind us of our Lenten goals and of God's loving graces. |
We need reminders.
We believe that the beauty of true sacred art has the power to convert an atheist to save an unborn child and to spark the faith of a future Saint just by hanging on your wall. |

We hope that the remainder of your Lent will be fruitful.
May God bless you,
