15 NEW Nutcrackers

You don't want to miss this year's display, with 15 NEW Nutcrackers joining the ranks! Come see them revealed, and visit your old favorites as well.

St. Nicholas Day Lantern Parade

The St. Nicholas Day Lantern Parade is a tradition inspired from the

"Klausjagen" (Nicholas Chase) in Switzerland and the "Laternelaufen" (Lantern Walk) in Germany. Each year, we gather and follow St. Nicholas through the streets of Steubenville, singing traditional carols and carrying our lanterns to the Nativity Creche. Join us on December 4th for this year's Lantern Parade at 7p.m.! Click for more details below!

Wooden Heart Follies Play

Coming to you December 1-4, 2022, "Wooden Heart Follies" is an original family musical written for the Steubenville Nutcracker Village. It brings nine nutcrackers to life, but with a new twist: comic lyrics have been added!

The story begins once upon a time in a magical land called Steubenville, where the mad scientist nutcracker falls in love with his human designer and turns the Nutcracker Village upside down... Audiences will discover whether nutcrackers really do like sugar plums, and whether or not wooden hearts can fall in love.

Be A Part Of The Magic!

The Steubenville Nutcracker Village and Advent Market is looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of needs. Setup crew, bus drivers, tour guides, and clean-up crew members are always needed. Carpenters and handymen are welcome! You can e-mail to therese@nelsongifts.com if you have questions, or sign up with the link below.

Keep the Magic Alive

The Steubenville Nutcracker Village is a gift to the people of the Ohio Valley, born out of the woodshops of the Nelson's of Steubenville. Each year, we rely heavily on volunteers and charitable donations from people like you. If you would like to make a donation to help fund this year's Nutcracker Village, click the donate button below and help us keep the Steubenville Nutcracker Village FREE & open to the public 24/7 during the Christmas Season!

You can advertise in the Nutcracker Village Map (distributed to approximately 50,000 visitors over 6 weeks); sponsor the village; or make any thoughtful donation you are able. Thank you for helping us keep the Village alive each year and spread the joy of Christmas!
