Celebrate St. Boniface's Feast Day!

| Regarded as one of the greatest missionaries since St. Paul, St. Boniface is known for his extensive travels and evangelization endeavors throughout modern-day Germany. He is perhaps most remembered today for converting the inhabitants of Geismar. Boniface and his companions journeyed to this village and showed its pagan people that the god they thought was represented in their Thunder Oak tree was false; the village said the God of Boniface was no match for Thor, but when Boniface struck the Oak tree it fell with a gust of wind. The people were amazed, and converted. Boniface exemplified a courageous reminder to trust in God and live boldly for Christ. On Sunday, the Church celebrates his feast day and urges the faithful to look to his life as an example of sanctity. You can read more of his story on our blog. | |
