I love love. And I love happy endings. I know exactly what a mate is supposed to be like. Which is also why I know for sure that he can’t be it. He’s nothing but the object of my eternal irritation. Nothing else.
He’s a useless business jock, and I want nothing to do with him. Just my luck that I got paired up with him for an assignment. And now I have to look at his unbelievably muscular torso more than I want. I want to wipe that obnoxious smirk off his face and put him in his place.
But I can’t help it. My mind is wandering. What would happen if I just let him kiss me for once? I know that he’s been trying to. What would happen if I just pretended that he could be my mate?
