Take part in the future of flexible power

Carbon Co-op are excited to invite you to participate in the PowerShaper Flex trial - a service which supports the flexible operation of the electricity grid and can enable more of your energy to be supplied by renewable sources.

So What is PowerShaper Flex?

A Home Energy Management box (HEMS), about the size of a large matchbox, will connect to devices in your home including EV chargers, immersion tank heaters and solar diverters, and we will install some kit for free so that you can participate. With the HEMS you can set automations to charge devices at cheaper, greener times, and participate in demand-side-response events which enable us to switch your devices on and off for short periods to ease demand on the electricity grid - you will always be informed in advance and are free to opt-out of these events.

Why should I take part?

You participation will play a vital role in creating a future of flexible, greener electricity! But on top of that, we will pay you for your participation in the service - you will receive 3 instalments of incentive payments over the course of the trial in the form of vouchers totalling £300.

When & where is the service happening?

We are trialling the PowerShaper Flex service over the next year across the UK.

How do I join?

Complete the enrolment form now! In order to join the trial, you’ll need to:

have a reliable home internet connection
have electrical appliances that we can control (don't worry, we'll check this when you complete the enrolment form)
have a Smart Meter

If it looks like you'll be able to join the trial, we'll be in touch to arrange the next steps.
