Unit 67 Welcome Reception
Everyone is invited to welcome the incoming men of Unit 67, Thursday, September 8, at 6:15 PM in the Dining Room. We hope you can join us as we let these men know we are here for them. Please wear your name tags.
Hawley Baby Shower
Please join us for a baby shower honoring Daniel and Sarahann Hawley! This come-and-go fellowship will be held Thursday, September 8 at the Hendriches from 7–9 PM. Couples and families are welcome. In place of a card, please bring a favorite children's book. You can also view their baby registry here. The invite can be viewed here as well!
Chris Archibald
Chris Archibald will be on campus Sept. 12–14 teaching Missions and is interested in some additional work during those three evenings. If you have mechanical/automotive needs, you're welcome to contact him at 601-334-5666.
Updated Meal Cost
Starting September 1, staff meals are $5.25/adult and $3.50/child. Guest meals are $9.00/adult and $7.00/child. We are so grateful for our kitchen staff who continually provide such excellent meals and, as a tribute to their economy and diligence, we have not had a price increase since 2017!
Family Camp Volunteers
If you have a specific area of service you enjoy supporting during Family Camp, please let us know by replying to this email. Also, if you know of anyone who is interested in volunteering for Family Camp, please pass along our volunteer application. We could use volunteers up to two weeks before Family Camp, the week of, and the week after.
Save the Date
Samuel Winkler and Anna Ferraro will be getting married on September 24 in Jacksonville, IL. The whole campus is invited to their on-campus reception on Sunday, November 13, 3–6 PM. More details to follow.
Basic Training Update | Maj. Boulden
Four days and counting! The Cadre has been training hard and is actively preparing for the arrival of the men for Unit 67. This Thursday, the new unit will begin its journey to becoming ALERT men. In preparation for Basic Training, they will spend three days in In-Processing and then be integrated into Basic Training Monday, September 12, at 6:30 pm. Please be in prayer for us as we continue to get ready for this adventure!
Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
One of the areas of our lives we can tend to ignore or neglect as busy leaders is our emotional health. We can focus a lot of time on our "IQ" and forget our "EQ."

As you grow in emotional health, you will grow in influence. As you grow in influence, you will grow in opportunities. Without self-awareness—an understanding of who you are, what you feel, and why you do the things you do—you will not be emotionally healthy. You need to understand what’s happening inside you, and as you grow in self-awareness, you become more emotionally intelligent.

Take a moment and check in with yourself before going to your next email:
How do you feel today?
Why do you think you’re feeling that way?
How could this impact your decision-making?

-Clay Scroggins
