| All Staff Dorm Cleaning Dr. Levendusky is encouraging all staff and any families to participate this Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 AM to assist Housekeeping as they prepare dorms for Family Camp. We'll be meeting in front of Dogwood. Muffins and coffee provided! Please contact Michele Weiss to sign up for your favorite cleaning responsibility. Thanks for your help and support! |
| John and Romans Assistance
Chaplain Burch is looking for families or individuals who would be willing to help him collate John and Romans. Due to COVID, church involvement across the country is low but the need has never been greater for the truth of God's word to touch the lives of the lost. Please contact him if you are available any day time hours to help, or if you'd like to coordinate a special appointment to work with him to help complete more copies to distribute. These John and Romans booklets are slated to go to Thailand in a shipment this year.

| S'More FamiliesWe are excited to invite our staff to participate in our "S'More Family" promotion this year. "S'More Families" was designed for veteran Family Campers to invite families who have never attended Family Camp. For our Family Campers, this means the new family receives complimentary registration fees while the host family receives 50% off. For our staff who invite families* to camp, your guest will receive 50% off their registration fees. Please have your friends call 903-636-9201 to register with your name as a referral.
*New families are defined as families (2+ individuals, including a head of house) who have never come to Family Camp. Your friends may purchase lodging and meals if desired, but Family Camp Registration will be half off.

| Community NightEveryone is invited to join us for Dinner on the Grounds and an exciting evening message by Dr. Lew Sterrett. Admission is FREE. Dinner is available for $8/adult and $6/child. Let us know if you would like a poster or share with your friends here. |
| Basic Training POGIEUnit 63 Recruits will be allowed to receive POGIE starting October 19. ALERT's POGIE service is also up and running if you'd like to purchase POGIE for Cadre or recruits. |
| Blood Drive
Carter BloodCare will be coming back to campus on Saturday, October 24 for a drive from 7 am to 12 noon. The local area is in short supply of blood in the blood banks, so anyone who can donate would be a big help to Carter and to the community. Watch your inboxes in the next couple weeks for information about a sign up sheet! |
| Staff/Ministry Yard Sale The staff/ministry yard sale has been rescheduled for November 6–7. Please contact Peyton Weiss (pweiss@iblp.org) ASAP if you are interested in participating and include a list of any large or key items you are planning to sell (clothes, books, baby items, furniture, etc). |
| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
Let's remember that this Basic Training and Family Camp are both "firsts" for us. None of us have ever done what we are doing during a global pandemic. So 1) be patient with each other and 2) check your belief system at the door.
All of us believe things that might be inconsistent. Here are some questions we can ask ourselves about our beliefs that might help us create the change we seek — Is it working?, Is it helpful?, Is it true? More on "Checking your Belief System." |
| Basic Training Update | Maj. Boulden
And we're off! Today is Unit 63's first official day of Basic Training. The men will spend the majority of the time being "in-processed", receiving issued gear, sizing uniforms, and so on. This evening the men will be officially introduced to their Cadre and be divided into squads. Please be in prayer for the men as they begin their journey into the "forging process" of Basic Training.
Please remember that R-Night will be a closed event and to only interface with the men on a necessary basis and when following our COVID-19 protocols. R-Night will be streamed here. |
| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
The battalion is doing very well this week and enjoying their classes and battalion activities. Lincoln Clark arrived late last week and will be receiving flight training here.
Old iPhones needed for battalion: The battalion uses iPhones to play approved music in Aspen. If you have old iPhones that you are no longer using and would like to donate, please talk to Marcus.
