Campus and Home Water Conservation Due to well pump problems and other contributing factors, we are having difficulty maintaining the proper levels of drinking water in our tanks. We are currently working on the solutions and hope to have the problems resolved soon. With the Family Camp coming, it would be helpful if any campus and home water usage could be reduced to conserve water and aid our tank levels throughout the next month until November. Thank you for your help on this matter.

| Mayflower Minutes The Holly Tree Bible Church hosted the Mayflower church for their worship service this past Sunday. With his son interpreting, Pastor Pan shared their experiences from the last four years since leaving their beloved Chinese homeland to seek freedom to worship God. The authorities had threatened Pastor Pan with being imprisoned if he continued privately educating their churches' children outside of the State's public education system. He made the historic decision (like the Mayflower pilgrims 400 years before) to leave everything behind and obey the Lord's leading. Having escaped China, they stayed several years in Korea, then Thailand—with their last stop being seven days in a Thailand jail, where they miraculously were set free to come to America with basically the clothes on their back. They are grateful to now live in America, trusting God's grace to face new challenges, temptations, and adjustments, but enjoying the new freedoms to worship the Lord. Praise God for His mercies to deliver the Mayflower group to America to be salt and light among us!

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford Tech Rescue and Dive are both doing swift-water training all this week and will be off-campus on Thursday and Friday. Construction is learning framing and other skills this week, and Missions is learning auto-maintenance this week with ALERT Alumnus Chris Archibald. Please pray for all of the men as their relationships with each other and their leadership deepen. Pray that God will use these relationships to draw each man closer to Himself.

| Basic Training Update | Capt. Hawley Week three of Basic Training is off and running! The men will spend most of the week building on their navigation, ropes, and knots skills and taking different Repelling and River Crossing classes. The men will do the 6-Hour Hike at the end of this week. Please pray for them as we ramp up the pressure and help "forge" these men for the Kingdom.
