Noon Prayer Time Staff Prayer Time this Monday will be held in the Dining Room. |
| Prayer and Fasting | Dr. Levendusky As staff and families, we have opportunities to call upon the Lord often in our personal prayer closets, times of corporate prayer, and in gathering with fellow believers. Tuesday is our day of prayer and fasting for the ministry as a whole, and for us as individuals to seek the Lord in a time of need. For our own personal needs and lack, to the unfortunate situations and trials our family or friends are experiencing, to the spiritual void of others we may know only slightly, our day of prayer is a time to truly seek the Lord in humility.
My prayer is that each of us will make time and step away from some aspect of your normal life activities and truly seek the Lord in prayer and fasting on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Our families, communities, and churches need it. Our ministries and those we serve need it. Our nation needs it and the whole world will be affected as we pray in faith to the Lord who hears His people. Thank you in advance for coming together at noon and in other portions of your day to seek Him in this way.
Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. Psalm 143:1

| Staff Dorm Cleaning With not as many volunteers this year, Housekeeping would be grateful for any assistance as they prepare rooms for Family Camp after the July Conference, Hulin/Poteet Wedding, and Basic Training guests. This will be paid time for all staff. If you're able to participate, please join us Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 AM in front of Dogwood. Muffins and coffee provided! Please contact Michele Weiss to sign up for your favorite cleaning responsibility. Thanks for your help and support! |
| Staff/Ministry Yard Sale The staff/ministry yard sale has been rescheduled for November 6–7. Please contact Peyton Weiss (pweiss@iblp.org) ASAP if you are interested in participating and include a list of any large or key items you are planning to sell (clothes, books, baby items, furniture, etc). |
| Conference Messages Thank you for all your prayers and support this conference season. If you would like to listen to any of the messages before they are released on Embassy Media, you're welcome to contact Samuel Vanderford to borrow the MP3's. |
| Family Camp — bring your friends! We are excited to invite our staff to participate in our "S'More Family" promotion this year. "S'More Families" was designed for veteran Family Campers to invite families who have never attended Family Camp. For our Family Campers, this means the new family receives complimentary registration fees while the host family receives 50% off. For our staff who invite families* to camp, your guest will receive 50% off their registration fees. Please have your friends call 903-636-9201 to register with your name as a referral.
*New families are defined as families (2+ individuals, including a head of house) who have never come to Family Camp. Your friends may purchase lodging and meals if desired, but Family Camp Registration will cost them nothing. Please note that this discount excludes meals and lodging and applies to your registration costs only.

| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
Over time, leaders lose the ability to dream. We become risk-averse and sacrifice goals. When we recognize the limits of thinking small, we can re-train ourselves to think big. 1) Imagine the possibilities. Give yourself permission to dream. 2) Write down your dream. Clarify what you want. 3) Connect what’s at stake. Knowing what’s at stake will keep you fueled up on the road to accomplishment.
Starting to think big is hard. Continuing to think big is even harder.

| Basic Training Update | Maj. Boulden
We are five days away from the arrival of Unit 63. We will have approximately 70 men in training for this fall unit. The men will spend 3 days in Catalyst Training and then move into R-Night on the evening of the 28th. Please limit your contact with the men during their time on the main campus and if you do interact with them or their families, please wear a mask. Also, please be aware that R-Night will be a closed event at this time. Please be in prayer for the Cadre as we continue to prepare for the men.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
Fire Academy just returned from a week of disaster relief work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in response to the derecho that occurred in early August. Fire Academy is beginning classes this week and the battalion will also have 5 men in CST and 1 in flight. Please be in prayer for God’s work in the men’s lives.
