Basic Training Update
Four days and counting! The Cadre has been training hard and is actively preparing for the arrival of the men for Unit 65. This coming Thursday, the new unit will begin its journey to becoming ALERT men. The unit will spend 3 days in Indoc Training and then will be integrated into Basic on Monday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 pm. Please be in prayer for us as we continue to get ready for the adventure!
Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
The fall quarter began on Saturday and I am grateful for the fresh start and the way this transition provides time to refresh our perspective. Cadre includes 20 men and they are now in their second week of training. Colonel Behr left early Saturday morning with the six in CST for a three-week trip supporting the Northwoods conference and a father/son camp in Pennsylvania and assisting with flood relief in the Detroit area. Flight and EMT both commenced class this morning with three and six students respectively. Those two units will be deploying to the greater New Orleans area on Sunday to work with SP on hurricane relief for a week.

Please pray for prepared hearts in Cadre, Basic Training, and the Battalion, and pray that God will guide all of the leadership as we seek to work together to forge the men God has brought this fall.

Leadership Corner
As we make the transition in both leadership and semesters, things are going to be bumpy and it's going to be easy to let our work rule our lives. Here's a few reminders— 1) Take Care of Yourself 2) Keep Relationships a Priority and 3) Strive for Professional, Valuable Results (and make decisions based on these priorities).
