Big Sandy "Honor Our Heroes" Event This annual event will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 4 PM at the Big Sandy Civic Center – 612 N. Tyler St. ALERT will conduct the Color Guard presentation, and you are invited to attend and support this community remembrance of September 11, 2001, as well as honoring our first-responders and military who serve so faithfully.

| Patriot's Day, Prayer & Fasting Wednesday, September 11 marks the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist’s attacks on airplanes that crashed tragically in New York, Washington D. C., and Pennsylvania. Since that time, there are many more tragedies and sorrows that have been occurring in our nation and world. This is an opportunity for us to ask the Lord for His grace and favor in granting the Greatest Awakening this world has ever seen. Come and join us this day at noon for prayer together.

| Ladies Fellowship All ladies are invited to the Hendriches house on Tuesday, September 10 from 7-9 PM, for a game night to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Harman! This isn't a “shower” just a fun evening of fellowship. No gifts needed, but feel free to bring your favorite games and a snack to share. | Battalion Update | Capt. Winkler This past weekend 2nd Phase wrapped up and the fall training quarter started. We are running Aviation, Construction, Dive, EMT, and Tech Rescue this quarter, with a total of 19 students in Battalion. Please note that we have three flight students this quarter, so the runway will be significantly more active than it was last quarter. Please pray for the new group of Battalion leadership as they are all doing their roles for the first time, pray for the guys to settle into the new schedule and their classes, and pray for safety in training.
