Fishing
Just as a reminder, there is to be NO FISHING in between the two docks at the lakefront. You are welcome to fish from the eastern dock, but only towards the east where no swimming takes place. This is for the safety of our staff and students as well as preventing entanglements for those who are diving at the Lakefront every day. |
| Transportation Notice
Ross Holdeman will be out of the office this Friday, so if you have any vehicle needs for this weekend, please contact him by Thursday afternoon. He will be back in the office, Monday, September 25. |
| Sewing Room
The Sewing Room will be occupied for the next several weeks with the sewing needs of Basic Training. If you're able to postpone your own sewing requests until after Friday, September 22, that would be most helpful.

| Basic Training Update| Capt. Boulden Unit 58 is into their second week already! The men had a successful three days with their Catalyst leaders with a lot of good time spent in prayer and God's word. The men are adjusting well to life here in Basic Training and are gearing up for a packed week of training. This week the men will begin to do hands on training in their Land Navigation Classes by taking this skill out into the field. The Unit will also have their Micro Hike on Tuesday and their Three Hour hike on Friday. Please be in prayer that the men would be able to grasp the Land Navigation Classes and complete both of the hikes successfully. Just as a reminder, please respect the road barriers that are up for the safety of the men unless you need to be working on something in the Basic Training area. Thank you for your prayers and support during this time.

| Battalion Update| SMaj. Hawley This quarter has started off with lots of activities that have kept the Battalion very busy—the men in Dive immersed in their training, the men in Flight taking to the sky, and the men in MRT going in and out on different trips as usual. Deployments and Saturday service projects in the area have also kept us active.
MRT will be headed out this week to deploy for a few days, followed immediately with their road trip that will take them up the east coast where they will spend a few weeks visiting churches, sharing with Cadet units, and assisting with a couple Father/Son and LTC camps. This last week we looked at the problem of evil and suffering and how Christ Jesus came not only to answer the problem of sin, but He fully dealt with, handled, and conquered it. He also graciously knows our suffering; God has experienced and felt our pain while he lived incarnate on the earth and absorbed sin on the cross, and also because He is with us having promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:15-16
Thank you for your prayers, God is stretching and encouraging each and everyone of us already in this quarter.
