Required Hunters Briefing | CWO5 Overby
If you'd like to hunt during the 2024-2025 season on the IBLP/ALERT Academy campus, please join us for our hunters briefing, Thursday, September 26 at 6:30 PM in the Annex Conference Room. If you're not able to attend, please contact Chris Overby at (903) 720-0974 and we can try to make other arrangements. This meeting is required in order to be able to hunt on the campus. Please bring a valid hunting license and hunter's education certificate, if you're required to have one. We will be going over the Firearm and Hunting Rules for the campus and also have a briefing on important details specific to this hunting season. I look forward to seeing you there and we are looking forward to a productive, safe, and fun season!
Burn Pile Update
Please do not dump any more limbs branches or landscaping debris down by the wastewater race track. We will no longer be using that area to burn debris. We are trying to clean that up so that the construction of the clarifier can proceed. If you are needing a place to pile debris, please contact Chris Overby and he can direct you to a different location. Thanks for your help!

Battalion Update | Capt. Winkler
The Battalion is starting off week three, and things are starting to get busy. Tonight is R Night for Unit 71, and Tech and Construction leave first thing tomorrow morning for deployment in Brazoria County, Texas. EMT, Dive, and Aviation will stay back on campus doing training this week, and trade places with Tech and Construction over the weekend. Please be in prayer for safety for the deployment—both in traveling to and from and while deployed as there will be saw work involved with both deployments.
Basic Training Update | Maj. Hawley
The men for Unit 71 arrived safely for Basic Training last Thursday. After three days of In-Processing, the men will start their official training this evening at 6:30 in the gym. This is an open event so please feel free to come out and support the new Unit. The rest of the week will be spent moving in, learning all of the rules and regulations, and starting their baseline classes on navigation and rope skills. Please be in prayer for the men in leadership Cadre and for all the Recruits under our care.
