| Thursday Prayer and Fasting | Dr. Levendusky I would like us to set aside this Thursday, September 15, as a day of special prayer and fasting. This week we have a unique Family Conference happening in Cluj-Napoca, Romania (September 12-16) led by Pastor Popescu and Ovi Micula. We also begin a new Basic Training this week, start a Northwoods Journey to the Heart this coming weekend, and continue to prepare for another Family Camp next month.
We all know that little spiritual fruit will come without the Lord’s intervention. Please pray throughout the week, but especially mark this Thursday as our staff day of prayer for the Lord to guide our ministries and meet the spiritual needs of people involved in all of our lives.

| Basic Training Update | Maj. Boulden All of the men for Unit 67 arrived safely for Basic Training last Thursday. After three days of In-Processing, the men will start their official training this evening at 6:30 PM in the gym. This is an open event, so please feel free to come out and support the new unit. The rest of the week will be spent moving in, learning all the rules and regulations, and starting their baseline navigation and rope skills classes. Please pray for the men under our care as we lead them.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford Things are going well in the Battalion this week. God has given us opportunities for deeper conversations with guys about challenges they are facing and weaknesses and blind spots they need to grow in.
Classes are also going well. Yesterday, Missions had an opportunity to go to “Church Under the Bridge” in Tyler. Tech Rescue is scheduled to leave for a flood-recovery trip to the St Louis area on Sunday morning, and Missions will head to the same Samaritan’s Purse site the week following week.
We appreciate your prayer for God to work in each of us in making us more like Christ. Please also pray for wisdom for each of the Battalion leaders.

| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden Conflict is inevitable, especially within a ministry with many moving parts and differing priorities.
One of the things Christ calls us to do is to be "peacemakers," not just "peacekeepers." One way to do this is to close the time gap between an "area of conflict" and the "conversation that needs to be held regarding this area of conflict." One of the best questions we can ask ourselves is, "what conversation am I not holding, or not holding well?"
Making peace will take time, courage, and humility. But the results are unity and focus. And a team that is unified and focused is a team worth fighting for. Keep striving for peace, and keep forging on!
