| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
As the culture continues to shift and the problems we face continued to change and become more complex we need to rise to the challenge of becoming the leaders this moment in history needs us to be. 1) Face Reality. You can’t solve a problem you don’t believe exists. 2) Model Empathy. The importance of emotional intelligence in leadership has been widely documented. 3) Speak Positively. Good leaders understand the importance of rallying people toward a common vision of a better world. 4) Resist Passivity. Our greatest contribution is not what we can do today, but what our actions produce over time, compounded by the impact of young leaders who come behind us.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
Tech Rescue is doing swift water rescue class this week and Lord willing will make a trip to Oklahoma at the end of this week to train in a river there. The battalion has also enjoyed several scenarios, tacticals and other non-class activities through the last couple of weeks. There have been some neat things happening in the spiritual lives of the guys. Please keep praying for God to make both the battalion and leadership like Christ through our time here.
