Game Night with Battalion | Capt. Vanderford
We'd like to invite everyone to join the Battalion in the Dining Room this Friday, September 1 at 7:00 PM for a time of snacks and games. The gym will also be open for volleyball.

We'd like to make Friday Game nights a regular occurrence for the staff/battalion and have opened up the battalion's schedule (on normal weeks) to be able to enjoy this time of fellowship. We hope you're able to add this into your weekly routine and appreciate your friendship and investment in the students!
Catch and Release Fishing
Based on an independent evaluation of our lake, it has been recommended that we change our fishing policy to improve the heath, size, and quality of our fish. Moving forward, you are welcome to keep any fish 12 inches or less, but please release any fish of greater length.

Mayflower Minutes
We are excited to welcome more heroes of the faith on campus this week!

Two families from the heavily persecuted Living Stone Church in Guizhou province will be arriving in the next few days. (Linked is a 2015 report on this church.)

Pastor Pan and Pastor Bob Fu, both know this church’s pastor very well. The two families are Yang Xiang, his wife XiangNei Qing, and their 18 months old daughter Phoebe; and Kun Hao, his wife Leah Xiang, their two boys, GuHeng (16) and TianYou (10).

Let's join the Mayflower Group, FSI, China Aid, in welcoming these families!

Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
The summer training quarter went very well, and the fall quarter is off to a great start. Thank you to those who have supported the Battalion in various ways this summer. I know that many people have helped in many ways, but I specifically want to mention the Kitchen staff, the Facilities Department, the Computer Department, and the Operations Department. You’ve supported us in so many ways this summer, and we know we couldn’t do what we do without your support.

There are four advanced training classes running this fall in addition to Cadre: Aquatics, Construction, Missions, and Tech Rescue. Please pray for God to do His work in the instructors, students, and Battalion leadership. Below is a list of the instructors and leadership so you can pray specifically.

Aquatics – 2 Lt. Matthew Moody, Unit Leader – Spc. Robert Kinney
Construction – 2 Lt. Claude Dean, Unit Leader – Cpl. Jordan Hendrich
Missions – 2 Lt. Marcus Nafziger, Unit Leader – Cpl. Chilor Thomas
Tech Rescue – 1 Lt. Charles O’Neal, Unit Leader – Spc. Matthias Derbyshire
SMaj – Sergeant Major Avery Whitaker

Basic Training Update | Capt. Hawley
Cadre Training for Unit 69 is off and running today! The men in Cadre will be spending the next two weeks in an intensive training environment to prepare themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually for the challenge ahead of them. Please be in prayer for both the Cadre and the new Recruits as we all prepare for the adventure of Basic Training.
