Battalion Awards and Promotions
ALERT Awards and Promotions will be held this Wednesday, August 29 at the end of the weekly Staff Meeting/Prayer Time and prior to Lunch. Officers please wear your uniforms and we'll look forward to honoring these men and their achievements.
ALERT Chorus
The ALERT Chorus will be performing for the Grassroots America “We The People” rvent in Tyler on Saturday, Sept. 8. The speaker for the event will be Nick Adams and several local and national politicians will be present including US Senator Ted Cruz. There is a need of a few more ladies in addition to the ALERT men already in chorus. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday of this week and next (8/28, 8/30, 9,4 & 9/6) at 6:30 pm. Space is limited, so if you would like to participate it is important that you be at tomorrow’s practice (8/28). The music rehearsed will also be some of the music used for the Veterans’ Banquet in November. If you have any questions please contact 1LT Rian Bass at ext. 2254 or via cell at 989-721-1012.
Lunch Schedule for Thursday
SFG will be using the Dining Room starting at 1 PM on Thursday, August 30 for their quarterly Town Hall meetings. Because we want everyone to get enough time to eat, Thursday's lunch will be served at 12 Noon.
Leadership Tip | Capt. Boulden
Integrity (or lack there of) will define a man—or an organization—for life. As we go about our daily routines, are we showing integrity in both the small and big areas of our lives? Integrity is the state of being whole and undivided—from how we track our hours of "work," to how we spend our free time, to conversations we don't have but know we should, to the canned responses of "I'm fine" when asked how our day is going. Are our lives marked with integrity so "that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us"? (Titus 2:8) More about Integrity.
Basic Training Update | Capt. Boulden
With less than two weeks from the start of Unit 60, Cadre Training started bright and early this morning—all 18 cadre members having arrived over the weekend. They will be training and preparing over the next two weeks for the leadership opportunity in front of them. For the safety of the men in training, we will be putting our road barriers up again; please get into the habit of not using the roads that are in the Basic Training areas.

The recruits of Unit 60 will be coming in on Sept. 6. for three days of Catalyst training and then begin R-day/night on Sept. 10.

Thank you in advance for all the prayers and logistical support that you all provide us during this time. It is very much appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns about Basic during the next 12 weeks please do not hesitate to contact myself of Capt. Falkenstine.
