Upcoming Events
Olivia Horsman Bridal Shower
All mothers, daughters, and staff ladies are invited to attend a bridal shower in honor of Olivia Horsman on Friday, July 8, at 6:00 pm in the Formal Dining Room. Light desserts and snacks will be served.

We would love to bless Olivia by helping stock her pantry! Please bring along a favorite baking ingredient, canned, boxed, or dry food item for her new home.

Olivia and Marcus’ registry information can be found here. Please RSVP by June 30 to Christy Cox (
662-603-4736)
Blood Drive
There will be a Blood Drive in the Teakwood Room this Saturday, July 9, from 7 AM to 12 Noon. Please contact Col. Marv Behr to sign up.
Food Lines during July
Please note that while Quest is here, they will be served exclusively through line 2. Battalion, Sound Foundations, and staff can continue through line 1. (We will be scanning meals through line 1 and importing meals through line 2.) Thank you for helping us simplify this process!
Staff Meal Clarification
Our staff birthday lunches are open to all staff, volunteers, and any family members visiting as a complimentary meal. Please be sure to RSVP through the link in Campus News for you and your extended family members.

Any other complimentary staff meals (currently awards and promotions, individual family fellowship lunches, and special or banquet event meals besides birthday lunch) are only complimentary to employees and their own dependents (any family member of an employee whose legal residence is in the employee's home, provided the employee is the head of house). Parents, siblings, and friends of employees are welcome to attend these staff meals with the employee, but the meal cost will be charged to the employee at the discounted staff rate during everyday meals, or the regular rate during special or banquet events.

Employees need to check out a guest card for their family/friends, which would charge these meals at the staff rate to the employee’s meal account during non-event times. During an event, meals for friends/family may be pre-purchased from Operations at the regular event rate (these meals would be available on their name tags.)

If these guests (friends/family of staff members) would like to purchase meals instead, they would be available at the regular guest rate.

If you have further questions, please contact Operations. This information has also been added to the Staff Meals document linked in the menu for future reference.

Summer Family Conference
We are looking forward to our Summer Family Conference, August 1-5. General sessions will take place in the Chapel, with the children’s programs happening nearby. Staff families can pre-register and have their children participate in ALERT Cadets, Children’s Institute, Pre-Excel, and Commit at no charge. Contact Bethany at extension 2153 to register any children who will be attending.

We are also excited to have Brandon Keilen present the entire Affirming Biblical Foundations course (10 sessions) throughout the week. Brandon has been working to revitalize some key biblical truths originally presented in the Basic Seminar. We would like to encourage as many staff as possible to attend these sessions in order to provide valuable feedback to Brandon as he develops and refines the course to share these with a wider audience. (If you have your supervisor’s permission to attend during regular workday hours, you will be paid for those hours and need to use the appropriate T-Sheets code. Attendance at the evening sessions is entirely voluntary and will not be paid time.)

Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
Learning to safely and effectively use and maintain chainsaws will be the training focus for 2nd Phase this week. Leadership & Communications was deployed to Louisiana last week with Capt. Bass’s church assisting a New Orleans area church with rebuild and disaster relief work. They began class yesterday afternoon and will be learning the groove of this fast-paced class. Please pray that as both L&C and 2nd Phase learn the routines of their training programs, they will apply themselves well to maximize their personal growth during this time.
Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
As we watch the world we live and lead in becoming more confusing and out of our control, here's a reminder—

"No sin of a believer can now be an arrow bringing death, no condemnation can now be a sword to kill him, for the punishment of our sin was borne by Christ, and a full atonement was made for all our iniquities by our blessed Substitute and Surety. Who now accuses? Who now condemns? Christ has died, yes, has risen again.

Sin no longer has dominion over us. Jesus has made an end of it and put it away forever. Our enemy’s destructions have come to a perpetual end. Declare all the wonderful works of the Lord, all you who make mention of His name; do not be silent, neither by day, nor when the sun goes down. Bless the Lord, O my soul."
- C. H. Spurgeon
