Meal Cost Update
Due to increased food and operational costs for our kitchen, we need to increase meal prices. Starting September 1, staff meals will be $5.25/adult and $3.50/child. Guest meals will be $9.00/adult and $7.00/child. We are so grateful for our kitchen staff who continually provide such excellent meals and, as a tribute to their economy and diligence, we have not had a price increase since 2017. Thank you for your understanding as we all try to navigate rising costs across the nation.
Save the Date
Congratulations to Samuel Winkler and Anna Ferraro on their recent engagement! They will be getting married on September 24 in Jacksonville, IL. The whole campus is invited to their on-campus reception on Sunday, November 13, 3–6 PM. More details to come!
Quest Update
Thank you for your prayers for us last week—one of the students received Christ! We appreciate your continued prayers for a successful end to the program and that the truths shared throughout Quest would bear much fruit in their lives.
Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
Thank you to those of you who helped support Perspective Week. Though very challenging, it provided many opportunities for the men to learn to serve each other and overcome obstacles. 2nd Phase will be doing their intro to fire fighting this week. Leadership & Communications had their last class with Miss Blair and will be leaving on Saturday for their 9-day DC trip. Please pray for all of the arrangements to come together well for that. Pray for safety for 2nd Phase as fire fighting is very hot work. Pray for the men to fully invest themselves into their training.
Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
We often live between the tensions of "the faith we profess and the work we do." How do we live our faith daily and simultaneously get the work done that seems so pressing? One way is to reframe how we see our work.

What if I began to see my schedule as a series of divine appointments and prayed through my calendar? What if I changed my view of people from projects and customers to children made in the image of God?
