July 3rd Day of Prayer In conjunction with the Change of Command Ceremony (see below), we will begin our prayer time earlier in the Dining Room at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, July 3. Come with your family or individually, and pray corporately together for our nation.
July 4 is the 248th birthday of the United States of America, and we plan to pray for the following areas:
1. Spiritual condition of our people 2. Churches, pastors, and Christian ministries 3. Leaders at local, state, and national levels
4. Financial and economic realities
5. Health and fitness of our citizens
6. Crime and law enforcement
7. Military strength and protection
8. Media and communications systems
9. Agriculture and food supplies

| Change of Command Ceremony ALERT will have a change of command ceremony to recognize the transition of the position of Sergeant Major from Sergeant Major Whitaker to Sergeant LaBarca. This ceremony will take place on Wednesday, July 3 at 12:30 just before lunch. All staff are invited to join us to recognize this significant occasion. The meal will not be complimentary, but this may be a great chance to use your monthly fellowship meal. Please be sure to RSVP below if you plan to stay for lunch. |
| Fourth of July Celebrations Staff Families are invited to join the battalion and Quest for a picnic at the lake, Thursday, July 4 at 5:30 PM. This will be a complimentary meal for staff and any visiting extended family. (Please RSVP ASAP below.)
Please feel free to bring any outdoor yard games — staff are welcome to come as early as 4:30 PM.

| Sound Foundations Opportunities: last day! 1. There is a 20% staff discount for any staff attending Sound Foundations. Simply register, using the code: SFSTAFF2024
2. There is an auditing option for all of the Sound Foundations class content which only costs $480, with the staff discount! (The auditing option grants access to all Sound Foundations class times and digital access to all class materials. It does not include any activities outside the classroom.)
3. There is also the option to attend/pay on a class-by-class basis where you can participate in one specific class topic during Sound Foundations for only $50/class topic! Classes offered can be viewed here.
4. Lastly, we wanted to extend the invitation to anyone on campus (15 years or older) to participate in our Sound Foundations choir. This opportunity is FREE! The instruction Brian Fox offers and the incredible experience of singing in a disciplined choir is a very unique opportunity and quite fun! Choir rehearsals will take place each weekday during Sound Foundations (July 9-24) from 1:45-3:45 pm and our last rehearsal being on July 25 from 9:15-11:15 am, followed by our final concert that evening.
The deadline to register, even for the choir only option, has been extended for staff families until Tuesday, July 2.

| Quest Information Quest 2024 is already here! Now that Quest is a licensed summer camp, we have additional state regulations that we have to follow this summer. The only two that should impact the campus are that as of today the Basic Training area is completely off limits to anyone outside of Quest or facilities staff, and that the canoes at the lake need to remain locked until August 10. Families are welcome to use the canoes, but please keep them locked whenever they are not in use. Contact Operations for the lock codes. Quest will have a random inspection by the state, and any major violations of regulations will result in fines, so we appreciate your help in maintaining compliance with all pertinent regulations.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford The third training quarter of 2024 began on last Monday evening with Battalion leadership training. The fifteen students in 2nd Phase, seven for L&C, and one flight student arrived Saturday and everyone is settling in well. There is still much for the new responders to learn, but that will happen quickly and they will be adjusted to battalion life in short order. Please pray for wisdom and strength for each of us in leadership and for God to do His work in the lives of the men. Also, please pray for safety in the heat throughout the summer.
