Prayer and Fasting | Dr. Levendusky
I would like our staff and families to follow the powerful day of prayer and fasting we all experienced last month with another day of seeking the Lord this week on Wednesday, July 1, through a time of humility and worship in prayer and fasting.
We will not arrange the day’s schedule like last month, but I would like to call upon everyone, to mark this Wednesday as an appropriate day of humility set aside for vital personal, community-wide, and national concerns:
- The return of the ALERT battalion and their upcoming training schedule.
- The start of Quest and the spiritual impact that these young men will receive in their time here.
- The beginning of Sound Foundations and the eternal benefits that the students will experience with their instructors.
- The Big Sandy Family Conference with speakers and families coming from around the nation on July 27-31.
- Preaching of the Word of God and sharing the Gospel in our own spheres of influence as well as helping the cause of missions worldwide.
- Laborers to be raised up to go forth into the harvest that is ready.
- The coronavirus situation and the response by the medical community in the US and abroad.
- The uprisings and confusion occurring in our nation with wrong being touted as right and right being proclaimed as wrong They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things. Proverbs 28:4-5
- Americans to elect wise, godly leaders to deal with the direction our communities, states, and nation will go in the future.
- Individuals that we all know who have suffering in their homes, lives, and situations.
I would encourage every staff member and family to make time for special prayer on this first day of July. Our noon prayer meeting that day will extend from the normal 30 minutes to an hour. May every day this month be a time when we are "…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…" Ephesians 6:18

| Agenda 2 | Curtis Bowers With July 4th right around the corner, we as a staff can enjoy and celebrate the freedoms that so many have fought and died to provide and protect. This nation that we love is under attack. The attack is not so much from outside forces, but from the moral decay and societal regression that is around us. As Christians, it is a wonderful opportunity to shine as lights to our world. In July, we look forward to having film writer and producer, Curtis Bowers speaking at our Conference. He has produced an award winning documentary featuring the attack on our country. After completing that film, it's success and interest motivated him to produce a second film on the same topic. It is a powerful film exposing how the LEFT is using the issues of our day to work toward revolution from within. Check out this thought provoking film--Agenda 2. It's free until July 4! |
