"Because he holds fast to Me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows My name." Psalm 91:14
Upcoming Events
Prayer and Fasting | Dr. Levendusky
For the month of June, please join us in setting Wednesday, June 22 aside as a special day of prayer and fasting. I am grateful for the daily prayer times we all can experience in our personal prayer closets, church and family gatherings, and our mid-day noon meetings. Please join us as a staff this week with a day set aside for thanksgiving and intercession at the Faculty Dining room or on your own.
Kitchen Reopens
The kitchen reopens tomorrow, June 21, with lunch but will be closed for dinner. Regular meal schedule resumes Wednesday, June 22.
Missing Leatherman Multi-tool
Capt. Switzer lost his Leatherman Multi-tool with titanium handles. If you happen to locate them, they can be returned to Operations as the Switzers are out of town this week.
Fireworks Show next Wednesday
EBC will be using the Lakefront and Sports Complex Wednesday, June 29, from 9:30 PM to Midnight. They have invited us to join them for the closing fireworks show at the Lakefront at 9:30 PM.
Olivia Horsman Bridal Shower
All mothers, daughters, and staff ladies are invited to attend a bridal shower in honor of Olivia Horsman on Friday, July 8, at 6:00 pm in the Formal Dining Room. Light desserts and snacks will be served.

We would love to bless Olivia by helping stock her pantry! Please bring along a favorite baking ingredient, canned, boxed, or dry food item for her new home.

Olivia and Marcus’ registry information can be found here. Please RSVP by June 30 to Christy Cox (
662-603-4736)
Summer Family Conference
We are looking forward to our Summer Family Conference, August 1-5. General sessions will take place in the Chapel with the children’s programs happening nearby. Staff families can pre-register and have their children participate in ALERT Cadets, Children’s Institute, Pre-Excel, and Commit at no charge. Contact Bethany at extension 2153 to register any children who will be attending.

We are also excited to have Brandon Keilen present the entire Affirming Biblical Foundations course (10 sessions) throughout the week. Brandon has been working to revitalize some key biblical truths originally presented in the Basic Seminar. We would like to encourage as many staff as possible to attend these sessions in order to provide valuable feedback to Brandon as he develops and refines the course to share these with a wider audience. (If you have your supervisor’s permission to attend during regular workday hours, you will be paid for those hours and need to use the appropriate T-Sheets code. Attendance at the evening sessions is entirely voluntary and will not be paid time.)

Music Courses
Students over age 15 are welcome to join choir or orchestra for the Instrumental Workshop ($25) and/or Sound Foundations ($50).
  • Rehearsals for IW take place from 8:45–10:00 AM Monday-Friday, July 11-15. Closing concert is 7 PM on Friday, July 15 at the Auditorium.
  • Rehearsals for SF take place from 1:45–3:45 PM, Monday-Friday, July 19-August 5. Closing concert is 7 PM on Thursday, August 5 at the Field House stage.

Battalion Update| Capt. Vanderford
This quarter’s battalion leadership arrives tomorrow evening, and we will spend the remainder of the week training and preparing for the arrival of our students. Saturday is the arrival day for the men, and we’ll spend the weekend getting settled in and ready to start training in earnest next Monday. Please pray for God to bond the leadership together as an effective team and prepare us well for the work He has ahead of us this quarter. Pray also for God to prepare the hearts of the men for the work He wants to do.
Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
One of the best ways for us to grow as leaders is to ask ourselves tough questions. "Would it be easier to make an impact if you were willing to give up credit or control?" Because we care so deeply about the work we are doing here it's so easy to become possessive of it. But could we be making a more significant impact if we were willing to "let go" of these things? Keep asking questions and keep "forging on!"
