Meal RSVP this Week With limited number of people eating in the Dining Room this week, our kitchen staff would really appreciate if you're able to RSVP for any meals you're able to attend. They would love to have you (not only because they love making food, but during the slow times, it also really helps balance the cost of kitchen operation), and your RSVP will help them in food preparation. Please note that the Kitchen will close for the summer, June 6–21 and reopen on June 22 with lunch. Shout out to Charissa and her team for all the amazing meals this year! |
| Barth Reception We'd love to have you join us for Daniel and Hannah's reception this Thursday, June 4 in the Faculty Dining Room! RSVP has been extended to today, if you're able to attend. | Prayer and Fasting | Dr. Levendusky
I am studying the books of Joel and Amos in order to teach Sunday School in the next few months, and the first chapter in Joel records the plagues and serious national judgments that the Lord allowed. The spiritual leaders were called upon to declare a fast and solemn assembly to cry out to the Lord.
“…Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord…” Joel 1:14
I would like to call our staff and families to set aside a special day for prayer and fasting on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. In order to enable prayer throughout the day, we will set aside our regular work and schedule times to meet for prayer and encouragement. This will remain a normal paid day for all employees. Please prepare ahead of time for rescheduling projects, meetings, or other work responsibilities to allow the entire work day to be spent in prayer.
Further guidelines and a schedule will be forthcoming, but please be in prayer leading up to our upcoming time together to seek the Lord within the structure of a solemn assembly.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford Thank you for your support through the last 5 months. There were many joys and challenges during these first 2 quarters of this year. The battalion has all returned home except for the EMTs who are finishing up their clinical rotations this week. Please pray that these guys would stay close to Christ as they are faced with the old routines and patterns from home.

| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden As we move into summer furlough, I want you all to focus on one word—Rest. It can be so easy for us to jump from one task to the next without taking time to rest and recover before the next semester. Yes, there are more things that need to be done. There always will be. Rest well so you can work well.
