Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
Looking back, this has been quite the quarter! With all the changes for the COVID Pandemic coming just as we began, things were interesting right from the start. But God has blessed us, and this has been a very good quarter for many of the guys. Thanks to God for His grace and blessings to us. Also, thank you to the many of you who have supported us in many ways in the last 2 months.

The big news for this week is that Clinical spots have opened up for our EMT students! This is a definite answer to prayer. They will be staying around 1 week extra to fit in their shifts. Michael Burbella was not able to do his check ride last week due to airplane issues, so please pray for the weather to be good this week on a day when he is available to do the check ride. For the rest of us, there are lots of things going on as we wrap up the quarter, and as the graduates celebrate and prepare for graduation on Friday!

Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
As we race towards to end of the semester, our lives become busier and busier. We become bogged down more gets added to our plates. Here's a helpful reminder on saying “no.”

If you're not proud of it, don't serve it.
If you can't do a good job, don't take it on.
If it's going to distract you from the work that truly matters, pass.
If it benefits you but not the people you care about, decline.
If it doesn't move you forward, hesitate then walk away.

The short-run always seems urgent, and a moment where compromise feels appropriate. But in the long run, it's the good "no's" that we remember. On the other hand, there's an imperative to say "yes."
Say yes and build something that matters.
