"And you were dead in your trespasses and sins... [but God] who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead... It is by grace you have been saved" Eph. 2:1–5 |

| Battalion Update Thank you for all your prayers and support of the battalion over the past five months. These last two weeks will be quite busy for the battalion – please pray that the leadership and students will still have good opportunities for mentorship and discipleship.
EMT students have their final exam tomorrow. Please pray for peace, good recall of the information they know, and clear minds during the test. The flight students will be working on finishing out their flight hours as the weather allows. Some of them also have written tests this week. The Missions class is doing well and will travel back on Friday and Saturday. Captain Hawley requested prayer that God will open up avenues to use them in ways that leaves a positive and lasting impact on each of the team members and that they will be an encouragement to their hosts.

| Basic Training Update Five days and counting! The days are long but the weeks are short in Basic Training. This week will mostly consist of the Unit's preparation for Advancement Day on Friday. Thank you for all the prayers and support during these last 9 weeks of training for Unit 66. They have been very much appreciated.

| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden As we approach the break in the semester (however short it may be), I always find it important to take some time to step away and do some introspection.
As leaders, it’s essential we model for our young people what healthy living looks like. And stepping away from our busy routines, even if for just a day, might be exactly what the doctor ordered. I’ve found three steps that enable me to do this in a single day. Let’s call them the ABCs.
Awareness. First, ask yourself: what am I feeling? Am I experiencing negative emotions? Am I angry at someone? Am I melancholy? Am I anxious? Belief. Next, what have I started believing as a result of these emotions? Do I quietly believe I’m inadequate or superior or don’t fit in or some other distortion?
Correction. What is the truth I need to embrace? How can I believe the best about my situation, give grace to others, forgive if necessary, and move on? -Tim Elmore |
