If you're interested in helping as an actor, please look at the schedule and sign up by indicating what time slot you are volunteering for and how many are in your party. If you have any questions, you can contact either Lt. Samuel Kane (903-279-3152) or Corporal Repke (815-322-6067). |
| Welcome Reception Everyone is invited to Chaplain and Mrs. Burch's Welcome Reception this Thursday, May 23 in the Formal Dining Room, come and go between 6:30–9:00 PM, as we all welcome the friends and family members of Unit 70.

|
| Meal Trains We're grateful that Silas Whitaker and Uriah Hawley arrived safe and sound. Check out the following links if you'd like to support the Whitakers or Hawleys with a meal as they settle back into regular routines. |
| Memorial Day The kitchen will be taking the battalion's dinner to the lakefront on Monday, May 27 at 5:30 PM — anyone who would like to join the guys is welcome to RSVP for this meal as well. Regular staff meal cost applies. Please RSVP by this Wednesday, May 22. |
| Ladies JTTH Any of our campus mothers and daughters are invited to join either our Mother's or Young Ladies' Journey to the Heart, hosted and run separately on campus, June 1-8, at no cost. Please prayerfully consider joining other ladies on this Journey as we all seek to grow closer to the Lord and say “yes” to the Lord in each area of our lives. Details online here.
Use the coupon code: STAFFFAM2024 to register for the Journey at no charge. (Please register by May 22 for planning purposes.) This is a taxable benefit to employees and will show up as such on the year-end tax form of employees who take advantage of this discipleship opportunity.
We hope you can join us for this special and potentially life-changing week of seeking the Lord together! |
| Staff Dorm Cleaning As we continue to navigate staffing transitions and anticipate multiple events in the days ahead, if anyone is available to help us tackle another Staff Dorm Cleaning, we'd love your help! Anyone who is interested can join us on Tuesday, May 28, at Dogwood at 8:30 AM. This would be paid time for any available employees. Coffee and treats will be provided—hope you can join us!

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford Construction and Dive both returned safely from their trips at the end of last week. Thank you to those who prayed for them. Captain Gast will be training Dive this week on campus and EMT and Construction are continuing in class this week. EMT’s scenario day will take place Wednesday into Thursday (details above). It will be a busy week with Expo Day on Tuesday and Advancement Day on Friday. Please pray for the leadership to be attentive to the opportunities for investment that God brings along their paths and for the students to continue growing through the end of the quarter.

| Basic Training Update | Capt. Hawley Only five days remaining in Unit 70's Basic Training! The days feel long but the weeks fly by here in Basic! This week will mostly consist of the Unit's preparation for their Advancement Day on Friday. Thank you for all the prayers and support during these last 8 weeks of training for Unit 70—we appreciate it!
