Leadership Corner: Meetings
Meetings can be great productivity producers or frankly a complete waste of time. Here are five filtering questions you can use to coordinate essential meetings:
  • Is this meeting necessary? Keep the high-leverage ones that support important goals.
  • Are you sure you’re necessary? Guard your schedule, and only say yes when you truly need to be there.
  • Who else should be involved? Think through who absolutely needs to attend. Remember, smaller groups can align more quickly to drive a decision.
  • What type of meeting do you want? Consider the type of meeting that will help you accomplish your goals. Keep the purpose clear and the conversation from meandering, so your time will be productive.
  • What’s the right format? It takes intentional thought to determine what’s best for your team, and what format will work best for what you’re trying to achieve.
Basic Training Week Seven
Thank you for praying for Unit 64 on their Endurance Hike. The men did exceptionally well and the weather was much better than expected. We completed the 56 Miles well under the 24-hour mark. This coming week the men will be participating in their Solo Hike as well as The Basic Responder Challenge from Tuesday through Friday. During these two events, the men will be tested in almost every area of training that they have received thus far. Pray for the men that they will continue to push themselves all the way to the end of Basic Training and not miss the lessons they have yet to learn.
