| Leadership Corner: Slow to Speak
As we lead our teams, we will inevitably run into conflict and disagreement. We can make the mistake of thinking they we have to have an answer for everything and hold an opinion on every issue. Being slow to speak can be our best friend during these high emotion, high tension, and opposing opinion moments. Let's listen, learn, lead, and forge on!
"Patient silence is the best reply to a world of cruel opposition. Calm endurance answers some questions infinitely more conclusively than the loftiest eloquence... Did not the silent Lamb of God furnish us with a grand example of wisdom? Where every word was the occasion for new blasphemy, it was the line of duty to provide no fuel for the flame of sin. The ambiguous and the false, the unworthy and mean will soon enough confound themselves, and therefore the true can afford to be quiet and find silence to be its wisdom." - C.H. Spurgeon

| Basic Training: Week Four
Basic Training will hit its halfway point this coming week! The days are long but the weeks are short, we like to say. This week the men will continue their training in ropes systems by taking classes in Alternative River Crossing and putting their First Aid training to the test with a few short field exercises. They will also be taking their next big step in endurance training with the 12-Hour hike on Friday. Continue to be in prayer for these men as they tackle each obstacle that comes their way.
