| Mosquito Spraying We want to let everyone know that Mosquito Authority will be coming out to spray for mosquitoes on the 20th or 21st, depending on the weather. If you would like the area around your house treated, please let Susanna Kientz know by emailing sbkientz@iblp.org. The final cost for this treatment will be $53.04. Payment should be given to finance as soon as possible, preferably before they spray your location.

| New Bathhouses for Park Use For our staff, the bathhouses that will now be open for park use throughout the year are Bathhouses 1416 and 1415 (closest to the Allison's).

| Battalion Update The EMT unit and Captain Vanderford will be in the Dallas area Thursday through Saturday to support the Texas Home School Coalition convention. This is an excellent opportunity to serve and support a Christ-centered, discipleship-minded organization and spread the word about ALERT. The other two units will be continuing with class as usual for this week. This weekend, the entire battalion will transition to deployment status to support the Family Conference on campus. Please continue to pray for God to work true change in the men’s lives to make them more like Christ.
|
| Basic Training Update Three weeks down! The days are long, but the weeks are short, we like to say. This week the men will continue their training in ropes systems by taking classes in 9-1 Mechanical Advantage training, First Aid Training, and their land navigation training will be put to the test with a few short field exercises. They will also be taking their next big step in endurance training with the 12-Hour hike on Friday. Continue to be in prayer for these men as they tackle each obstacle that comes their way.

| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden As we jump into another week of training, let's stop to rest and remember: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28
"It is, says the Word, at all times well with you, righteous one; then, beloved, if you cannot see it, let God’s Word assure you; believe it on divine authority with more confidence than if your eyes and your feelings told it to you. Those God blesses are blessed indeed, and what His lip declares is truth most sure and steadfast." - C. H. Spurgeon
Rest in Him and forge on!
